What is CBD?
CBD is a compound of cannabis, or hemp, plant that has inflammatory, analgesic and neuroprotectant qualities. It is extracted from the main product of the hemp plant using a powerful but non-toxic and inflammable component such as carbon dioxide. It is very different from THC, as it does not encourage any psychoactive traits.

How much CBD oil should I take?
It always varies by person and individual needs. We recommend beginning with half a dropper and slowly increasing the dosage as needed.
Can I give my pet CBD (my dog, cat, etc.)?
Yes. Pets can benefit from CBD for many of the same conditions as humans: pain, seizures, inflammation, and anxiety. CBD is safe to use for pets but their dosage will likely be much smaller than yours. Dogs have a higher concentration of cannabinoid receptors in their brain. This means they are very sensitive to THC. But a small amount of THC, like the amount in a full spectrum CBD hemp oil, is beneficial for animals. We recommend you speak with a veterinarian (holistic veterinarian) before you start giving your pet CBD.
How often should I use CBD topical products?
It varies with needs. We recommend starting with a small amount once or twice per day and slowly increasing as needed.
How should my CBD products be stored?
CBD oil does not need to be refrigerated, but if you would prefer to take it chilled you can store it in your fridge without impacting the product. If you prefer storing your oil, tincture, capsules, etc. at room temperature, simply leave them in the bottle anywhere that isn’t exposed to constant light or heat. DO NOT FREEZE! this will separate the oils and result in a much less effective (and tasty) product.
How do I use the dropper when taking CBD oil?
Fill the dropper with the recommended amount for serving size (found on the bottle) and place the oil under your tongue. Hold it under your tongue for about 30 seconds before swallowing for maximum absorption, or add directly to a room temperature beverage.
Will it feel like getting intoxicated?
This is the most common question people ask about CBD or hemp oil for pain. CBD does not contain any psychoactive component that is associated with marijuana or similar products. Therefore, there is no chance of feeling intoxicated by using this oil. Industrial hemp may have a maximum of 0.3 percent THC to produce 99 percent pure CBD.
Do your products contain THC?
Some of our products have minuscule, trace amounts of THC in them — but well below the legal limit of 0.3% (as set in the 2018 Farm Bill). It is very unlikely that most users will test positive for THC in a drug test, but — just as consuming poppy seeds may make you test positive for opioids — it could happen.
Is it like marijuana?
Often, hemp is considered the same as marijuana, as hemp oil for pain can reduce pain quickly. However, these are two types of cannabis that are different from each other in terms of chemical properties, cultivation process, usage and other traits. Hemp is mainly cultivated for producing natural hemp oil for pain, fabrics, food, rope and other items. Marijuana contains high levels—up to 20 percent—of the psychoactive ingredient THC, whereas hemp contains less than 0.3 percent.
What can CBD be used for?
Many studies have shown that CBD may help with stress, anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, alertness, focus, nausea, varieties of skin conditions, sore muscles and joints and many other issues.
What is the recommended wattage for CBD Oil for vaping to prevent it from burning?
This varies by model as the coils require different temperatures. Always check the product information on your vaping equipment to ensure you are heating it at the right wattage and voltage so as to not burn out your coil. Its also recommended to use a ceramic heating coil as that can give a better experience as opposed to traditional coils and cotton.
Will it be exposed in a drug test?
Most CBD products contain no or very little THC. Therefore, a person under the treatment of CBD products will generally not be exposed in a drug test. Use at your own risk.
Is it legal?
CBD is legal for sale federally under the 2018 Farm Bill
Does CBD interact with other medications?
Yes. CBD inhibits the cytochrome P450 enzyme, which is involved in metabolizing many drugs. Compounds in grapefruit inhibit the same enzyme group, which is why physicians advice patients not to eat grapefruit shortly before or after taking a medication. By inhibiting cytochrome P450, CBD can either reduce or increase the effects of other drugs. Please consult your doctor before taking any CBD with your current medications.
What are terpenes?
Terpenes are essential oils found in plants. There are around 200 terpenes in cannabis. They are what give cannabis its distinct aroma and flavor. Terpenes have beneficial effects and work in synergy with cannabinoids like CBD and THC – this relationship is called the "Entourage Effect."
